Village Volunteers Needed - Great Coxwell Christmas Event 2023!!!!

20/10/2023

Dear Neighbours,

Great Coxwell has enjoyed a wonderful Christmas tradition for the past 22 years with a nativity scene set up in the NT Tithe Barn, and a Christmas Eve Procession through the centre of the village concluding with a Christmas Service inside the Barn. Each year we raise funds for the church, charity, and community fund. All of this is carried out by village volunteers and through kind donations.

We dearly hope to keep this going for 2023, and for future generations to enjoy. But we need your help to do this, whether you are brand new to the village, or have a generation legacy!!!

Can you help in advance? Or on Christmas Eve? Or can you help in early January for the take down?

All help, any time commitment will work!

No knowledge, or skills necessary!

Volunteers are needed to help plan, and set up for the Christmas Eve Procession, and Christmas Service in the NT Tithe Barn. There is much to do! This also includes the preparation, and staging of the nativity scene which is in place from early December through to January.

All help will be extremely welcome. Even if you can only spare a few hours!

Please email the team to let us know if you have a child, or grandchild that would like to be Joseph or Mary this year. We are also in search of a donkey, mule, or miniature pony to lead the procession if anyone can help.

Please email the events team at: [email protected]

John Gould

21/9/2023

John's daughter, Ali, asked me to pass on the news that John sadly passed away on Sunday 17th September.

PARISH DEFIBRILLATOR UNAVAILABLE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

4/9/2023

A new defibrillator has been provided by the supplier to replace the faulty unit that we have had intermittent problems with in recent months.  Unfortunately the new device was despatched to us without a battery and so we are without a parish defibrillator until the supplier sends the battery to us.

I will keep everyone updated regarding this matter.

Best wishes

Ian Mason
